Our Annual
End of Financial Year Dinner
The Mercure Rougemont Hotel, Exeter, England

Our much awaited 'End of Financial Year Dinner' took place at the Mercure Rougemont Hotel! Tickets included a glass of prosecco at the door, a three-course meal and half a bottle of wine per person. Members dressed up in their fanciest black-tie attire for an old money themed finale to our events over the previous year.

'Unlock Your Career Potential'

With a TikTok following of almost 30,000, JJ creates content covering internship advice as well as insights into the corporate world of a commercial banker!
The event was on Thursday 14th March in Streatham Court C from 18:30-19:30PM
We were the first university JJ visited on his tour of UK universities, this was not an event to miss.
It was amazing to see everyone here, and we cannot wait to host more events like this.

UK Budget Panel Discussion

Another exciting event was hosted, in collaboration with the business school.
Alongside FREE pizza and doughnuts, business school faculty Ray O'Connell, Carlos Cortinhas, Peter Gripaios, Rish Singhania, and John Maloney discussed Jeremy Hunt's spring budget in an exciting panel discussion.
Traffic Light Speed Dating
The Cocktail Club, Exeter
Tuesday 13th February, 19:30 onwards
Embracing the Valentines spirit, we hosted our Traffic Light Speed Dating Social at the cocktail club on Gandy St.
With free prosecco on the door and discounted cocktails all night, members had the chance to speed date one another, with a free bottle of wine given to those that secured a second date!
Winter Ball

The Mecure Rougement, Exeter
Our biggest event of the year 'The Winter Ball' was held at the elegant Mecure Rougement Hotel. Guests were greeted with a complementary glass of prosecco upon arrival and enjoyed a delicious three-course meal, accompanied by half a bottle of wine per person. This year, members dressed up in their finest black-tie attire and embraced the masquerade theme to celebrate the end to an amazing first term!
Halloween Pub Social
The Stand Off, Exeter

We hosted a spooktacular Halloween pub night at The Stand Off, and it was an unforgettable evening filled with eerie excitement and spine-chilling fun. The night featured spooky shots, ghoulish games, and a classic round of apple bobbing that kept everyone on their toes. Guests arrived dressed in their most creative and terrifying Halloween costumes for a chance to win a special prize.

We hosted a unique social event, where EconSoc families embarked on a pub crawl with a twist! As they explored various pubs, they faced a series of fun challenges, all while on the lookout for the giant chicken. Members joined us for an exciting and hilarious adventure around Exeter, where the first team to spot and capture the chicken won a prize of free drinks!
