The University of Exeter Economics society has seen rapid growth in recent years, reaching as high as 1700 members. We offer students unique experiences and opportunities through a wide range of social and academic events aimed towards building communities, employability and improving your university experience.
What we offer
The Exeter Economics Society provides its members wide a wide range of events, built upon our core values, community, opportunity and equality and inclusivity. These core values drive us to offer inclusive , entertaining and engaging events, helping our members thrive in university and assist them when they leave.
Balls and Socials
Our extravagant black-tie balls form a core part of the EconSoc experience, hosted twice a year with phenomenal food, entertainment and drinks.
Our regular socials bring together our community for wild nights, 'family' socials and famous pub quizzes.
EconSoc pledges to make all social events inclusive and sustainable. Catering for disabilities and allergies where possible, and striving towards sustainability.
Academic Events
Throughout the year we put on various academic events, ranging from economic debates, famous guest lecturers, attending external summits and collaborating with other societies.

Careers Events
Making use of our extensive alumni network and incredible sponsors we regularly hold careers events aimed at preparing our members for internships and employment.
Intramural Sports
This year EconSoc takes part in:
- 6-a-side football
- 9-a-side football
- Netball
Our mixed ability and gender teams helps to promote a culture of inclusivity and equality within our community.
Taking part on a weekly basis, our sports teams compete in the Intramural Sport leagues against other societies and clubs from the University of Exeter.
